Sacred Places
Many Buddhists have alters at home where they display a state or image of the Buddha and practice Buddhism. Monasteries, nunneries and temples sometimes conduct ceremonies and offers a place for people make offerings, but as it is not necessary to attend "mass", it is not conducted on a daily basis.

The First Preached Place is Sarnath. It is the deer park where the Buddha first taught the Dharma. It is in India. It is where the Buddhist Sangha came into existence through the enlightenment of Kondanna.
The Dying Place of Buddha is Kushinagar. It is the place where Buddha delivered his last sermon.
